Ascot Racecourse is synonymous with elegance, world-class events, and premium guest experiences. To match the venue's prestigious reputation and seamlessly handle intensive event-day crowds, Focus Washrooms was chosen to deliver a complete redesign and premium commercial washroom refurbishment of the main Men’s and Ladies' facilities.
Following a total strip-out of the legacy spaces, our team installed entirely new layouts, advanced water management systems, automated low-energy lighting, and ultra-durable, premium finishes. The result is a stunning balance of high capacity, modern design and long-term performance.

As one of the UK's most high-profile entertainment and sporting venues, Ascot Racecourse requires stadium level toilet fit-outs that look exceptional while standing up to intensive, heavy-use footfall. The primary project objectives were to maximise cubicle capacity, integrate modern water-saving technologies, ensure family-friendly access and establish a sophisticated, luxury aesthetic across both facilities.
The completed spaces
The men’s
The men’s washroom layout was completely reconfigured to improve visitor flow, reduce queuing, and maximise efficiency during peak event times.
Heavy-Duty Toilet Cubicles: We constructed new structural partition walls and installed 15 high-performance Trovex Solid Grade Laminate (SGL) cubicles. Backed by 14 integrated, matching plumbing duct panels, the system features a striking, executive color scheme of Charcoal panels with Battleship Grey division walls and fascias. This material offers 100% water resistance and extreme impact durability.
Modern Toilets & Urinal Troughs: The space features 14 sleek, new back-to-wall toilets equipped with modern push-button flushing and heavy-duty seating. Alongside the WCs, we fitted two long, custom stainless steel wall trough urinals featuring automated, battery-powered sensor flush controllers to guarantee exceptional hygiene and commercial water efficiency.
Bespoke Handwashing Suite: We crafted a bespoke laminate-top vanity unit housing 5 semi-recessed wash basins, finished with modern, self-closing non-concussive taps and smart anti-scald temperature controls (TMVs). Over the vanity, 5 safety-backed rectangular mirrors add a polished, clean finish.
The ladies’
The ladies’ washroom transformation focused on high capacity, refined comfort and family-friendly accessibility to easily accommodate large crowds.
High-Privacy Cubicle Systems: To support the extensive new layout, the existing walls were heavily reinforced before we installed 20 premium, high-privacy Trovex SGL cubicles, alongside elegant privacy screens. The space shares the same sophisticated Charcoal and Battleship Grey dual-tone palette for a uniform, premium resort aesthetic.
Toilets & Integrated Family Features: We installed 20 modern back-to-wall toilets with heavy-duty seating and sleek concealed plumbing panelling. To make the space fully welcoming and practical for families, two modern, wall-mounted folding baby-changing tables were seamlessly integrated into the reinforced structural walls.
Luxury Vanity Units & Basins: The handwashing area features a spacious, premium layout with 10 semi-recessed basins built into a custom laminate-top vanity unit, alongside two independent wall-mounted basins. Ten individual safety mirrors are paired with the vanity basins, beautifully complemented by a massive, 1-meter feature safety mirror.
